Cat Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill network of people dedicated to rescuing homeless, unwanted and feral cats in the Southside Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Each member of Cat Rescue, Inc. brings to our organization their own talents and abilities for the purpose of saving as many cats as we all can-together. Our members come from all across the spectrum, civil service, bank and service industry employees, retired military and housewives all give whatever time they're able to find a caring and loving home for a cat in need.

Most of our cats are rescued from local municipal animal control facilities, some within mere hours of being put to sleep while others are found roaming the streets in search of food and shelter. Along with the local veterinary community, local business leaders and caring members of the public, Cat Rescue, Inc. forges ahead with the knowledge that we won't be able to save every cat, but along with other area groups dedicated to the same purpose, we are making a difference one cat at a time.

We hold adoption events at two of our local PETsMART stores every Saturday and with our large network of members, we have the ability to accommodate people interested in adopting a cat the chance to visit our members homes during evenings and weekends. Our members are also heavily involved in the care and feeding of several colonies of feral cats. We are advocates of Trap-Neuter-Release and attempt to domesticate these animals for adoption whenever possible. Caring for these animals isn't an easy calling, but the rewards we receive make ours one of the hardest things we love to do.
