Magic Happens Katz is a member of (TICA) The International Cat Association breeding BLUE British Shorthairs. We are located in Maryland. We are a small loving family breeder of these amazing cats. Our British cats come from respected European lines of Grand Champions. We take great pride in our British Cats and love them very much. If you ask us, the British Shorthair and Longhair cat is the greatest cat to own because they make the best pets. We love their round appearance with their chubby cheeked smile !! These cats are the Teddy Bears of the cat world. Our British Shorthairs and Longhairs have calm loyal personalities and are very loving and affectionate. Our cats are raised in house underfoot around children and other family pets. Our cats are not kept in cages. Raising kittens this way insures the kittens calm and relaxed demeanor towards children, other pets and house guests.

So what makes a British Shorthair/Longhair different from other American cats?? Since British cats are fairly large with shorter legs they tend to stay pretty grounded and are not much on climbing and acrobats. British cats are not demanding like so many other breeds of cats. The British cat is very tolerant and has lots of patience with children. This makes the British Cat a great pet for a young child. British Shorthairs and Longhairs are very loyal to their owners. Some might say the British cat is the Bulldog of the cat world. These cats are somewhat couch potatoes and become very chunky in appearance as they age. British Cats are very smart and are easily trained. Many Brit's are used in TV commercials and movies. The movie Pet Cemetery is one example of a British Cat gone movie star!!!! The British Shorthair and Longhair cats are not destructive whatsoever. These cats easily adapt to their environment and are great for small apartments and townhomes.
