I started www.OneCrazyCatLady.com simply because I am crazy. Crazy about domestic cats, that is. I have had cats around me from the time I was born, and I have had many feline companions over the years. A catless home, to me, is bleak and incomplete. I have read many books on cats, observed them countless times over the years, helped with birthing kittens, helped bottle-feed and raise the kittens when the mother left them behind, dealt with their problems including health and behavioral issues, and was the beneficiary of many warm and happy times with them.

I find that they are nature's most perfect creature, all things considered. Supreme hunters, able to live on their own without our help, they choose to share our lives because they want our companionship. Each and every cat I've ever owned (I have lost count years ago of how many) was an individual, with a distinct personality and little personal quirks....just like a human. They become members of my family...certainly not as important as my own children, but definitely close enough in my own heart for people to label me a "crazy cat lady".
