Duffy's Friends Inc. being an all volunteer, non-profit, animal rescue organization, is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless domestic pets. We will see to it that every animal we take in receives appropriate medical attention, and is placed in either a loving foster home, permanent home, or a species specific rescue group. We WILL NOT euthanize unless terminal illness or severity of injuries necessitates such a decision. All of our animals will be up to date on vaccinations and be wormed. Depending on age, they will be tested for standard diseases (ie. FIV/FELV, heart worm), and spayed or neutered before they are adopted. We do make an exception for kittens and puppies that cannot be spayed or neutered until they reach the age of 5-6 months. While we will adopt out these kittens and puppies, it is expected that spaying and neutering will take place at the age appropiate time.
